So how important is it for lipstick to be ‘clean’?

I mean, we are literally eating it off our mouths all day long so the chemicals in the product are going directly into our system. But rest assured…. these beauties are all rated excellent on the Think Dirty and Yuka apps, free from any nasties and filled with lovely ingredients. So just lovely Toxic Free lipstick.

As a makeup artist with over 15 years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of cosmetics. From enhancing natural beauty to boosting confidence, makeup has the ability to make us feel like our best selves. However, there’s a darker side to the beauty industry that often goes unnoticed—the harmful ingredients lurking in many make-up products.

That’s why I’m passionate about advocating for clean beauty, particularly when it comes to lip products.

If you would like to know which  brands or ingredients should I be avoiding, or even wondering what the best organic lipstick brands are then I am here to help.

So I’ve created this guide to help you understand why choosing vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic, Toxic Free lipstick is so important…and easy.

Which toxic ingredients are  commonly found in lipsticks?

Many conventional lipsticks contain harmful chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. These ingredients have been linked to a range of health issues, including hormone disruption, allergic reactions, and even life threatening illnesses. Not to mention, the production of these chemicals often involves animal testing, which is both unethical and unnecessary. It is now so easy to shop cruelty free, vegan and toxic free lipstick with so many amazing brands on the market. One question frequently asked by my followers is about toxic free lipstick, and the best organic Toxic free lipstick brands. I hope this post will help.

By opting for vegan and cruelty-free lipsticks, you can ensure that no animals were harmed in the making of your makeup. Vegan lipsticks are free from animal-derived ingredients like beeswax and carmine.

It is a frequently asked question for me of how important clean beauty is. I think we have to all make our own minds up about this, but when it comes to specific products I would say lipstick would be high up on my list.

In addition to being vegan and cruelty-free, I believe it’s also important to choose non toxic lipsticks that are free from harmful chemicals. Look for products that are made with clean and lots of natural ingredients. These ingredients not only deliver vibrant color payoff but also provide long-lasting hydration and protection for your lips.

When you choose clean lipstick, you’re not just making a statement about your personal values—you’re also taking a stand for the health of our planet.

Why should I support ethical brands?

By supporting brands that prioritise sustainability and eco-conscious practices, you’re helping to reduce the environmental impact of the beauty industry.

In conclusion, choosing vegan, cruelty-free, and non-toxic lipstick isn’t just a trend—it’s a commitment to your health, the well-being of animals, and the planet. So next time you’re shopping for lipstick, consider reaching for a clean beauty option. Your lips will thank you for it.

Remember, beauty is about more than just looking good—it’s about feeling good too. And with clean, non toxic lipstick, you can have both.

If you’re looking for refillable lipsticks you will love the ones from The Body Shop as well as La Rouge Francais . If you would prefer plastic free lipsticks then opt for Ere Perez Lip Crayons which come in a crayon form and have an aluminium lid! Genius

As we all have our favourite shades…I have not collected these into lipstick colour but more into favourite lipsticks and brands that I love! Click on them to see the full range of colours!

IMPORTANT; To avoid any confusion, these are lipstick brands that ONLY make vegan lipstick. I also adore other brands lipsticks but they have a selection of both vegan lipstick and non vegan lipstick
