YES.
That’s right…. I am talking about, only making your own products from natural ingredients…we are going one step further with FORAGEING them!
Next time you’re traipsing over the fields with your pooch on a cold and dusky morning, you may start to see the berries or flowers a little differently after reading this post.
Now, the world of Natural/organic/synthetics/nasties/green…is UTTERLY CONFUSING…and annoyingly so, there are not even any official laws around what we can and can’t call them with the above wording.
We were told that buying Natural is ‘better’…guess what….sometimes ‘Natural’ can actually be less sustainable than making it in a lab!!!! Can you imagine how many lemons we would have to grow for all of the citric acid we use in beauty and house hold products!!?? It’s actually more sustainable to create it in a lab!
Not to mention that there are also many plants…such as stinging nettles, and of course essential oils which can actually be quite harsh on our skin! But then there are also some synthetics known to be ‘nasties’ too….BAHHHH…is anyone else on the edge of a breakdown with the constant stream of DO’S AND DON’TS.
WE COULD just hibernate with the hedgehogs until the beauty industry know what the dog we should REALLY be buying and therefore avoiding.
OR….you could keep an eye on my Blog, Youtube and Instagram i for one am on a mission to demystify the whole industry and share my findings with you.
If you are here because you’re interested in learning more about cruelty free and vegan beauty…GO YOU!!!! I will of course carry on talking about vegan and cruelty free…forever and always. HOWEVER…I am also going to be talking a lot more about sustainable, ethical and more organic products with more clarity on ingredients which are currently being classed as ‘nasties’.
ALAS.
There is also a LOAD OF BULLPOOP about unsafe ingredients too which HAVE NOT been proven. More on that later.
Today….to celebrate our gal Mother nature herself… I am letting you into a little recipe of mine which I wrote for fragrance direct…. I conjured up 4 of my favourite beauty recipes which you can forage from your own garden…or local field….OR just buy them from the grocers!!! There is a recipe for EVERY season….
